Not the progress I wanted to see for the effort I'm putting in. Oh well, must try harder!

I didn't blog yesterday because I felt terrible!! Shaking, dizzy and I felt sick .
I went to bed very early and woke up feeling so much better. I don't k ow if it's the diet or something else entirely that bothered me yesterday.
My husband made us some scummy cheese and almond flour protein cakes for breakfast and its scrambled egg with butter for lunch then who knows for tea!.
I'm very much enjoying the food.
How's your diet going? Are you sticking to it? Finding it easy or hard?

Not such a bad start. I did eat two packets of crisps and guzzle a monster energy drink, but all in all, not a bad effort for the first day of my new lifestyle. (I'd normally have that, some chocolate, mini donuts, a cinnamon pastry, 3 or 4 red bulls and goodness knows what else).
I actually found my lunch (Lemon, Coriander and garlic chicken with a side salad) to be extremely tasty and filling.
Its also helping me to know that many of my office colleagues are on a health kick too for one reason or another, so it's seems we are all in it together for now.
I've consumed absolutely no alcohol for the first time since Christmas eve and feel great, really energised. So much so that I cleaned out all my kitchen cupboards and the fridge too. (I'll consider that my exercise for tonight as I kept at it for 4 hours).
I'm going to bed feeling happy and full.
Weight: 13st 8lbs (omgg)
BMI: 34.8 (I'm going to die)
Dress Size: 18 (and not happy with that)
Mood : Happy and positive
Hydration : Could much much better!!

I'm sitting here, scoffing the last of the Christmas chocolates, drinking the last of the Christmas wine and planning the week ahead to make the changes I need for a healthier mind and body.
The shopping delivery comes tomorrow night. It's full of the new and un-processed food I need to start the new year with a new attitude.
I took advantage of the Aldi deals today and bought a set of weights and an exercise ball and have bookmarked some gentle workout videos on YouTube for tomorrow night. I'll start with beginners Pilates to stetch my un-exercised limbs back into life.
I'm looking forward to the positive changes to my life and I'm ready to commit.

So I've decided to follow the ketogenic diet from Monday 4th. It looks like exactly the type of food I love and that's going to be important when trying to stick to anything.
The exercise plans are still not finalised. It's very tricky trying to fit in around a busy family of 5, but it's not impossible! You just have to make time for you.
Has anyone tried the ketogenic diet ?
How did it work out for you?
